Van Morrison gets real....

My mother was a professional singer, a backup singer for country & western bands, male and female and all the tops. She opened a window and I looked inside. Those people were freaks. I hate C & W music now because I saw inside of them. They were careless perverts with only one goal in mind "self Satisfaction", Worse than the rock an' roll crowd, these fukkers were pigs.

Nothing changes anything but acceptance is the key. I don't accept fake cowboys or women that talk like them (fake) just for the money....

Van Morrison playing on a street corner.

I can't believe this didn't draw a huge crowd. I know I would never have been able to walk by this performance. This is Wild Night...

Toni Lommi solo.

I don't care, it's a classic!

L. Rice

She was awake.
I was crazy.
Floods and storms everywhere.
Nothing cured anything.
Results always the same.
Me on drugs, her drunk on faith.
April 12th, I know the date.
October, December, January and February too...
Those days all so important.
Nothing less but much much less.
I hurt her and now I know.
Should a wind come, take this all away, feelings would still remain.
Somehow I found her blessings.
To me it was the key.
I will pray tonight and every night for her to be warm and be content.
I will thank my God each time I think of her for her love and her concerns.
Grandmother now, I'm a grandfather too. I guess we both have won a race.
Still looking back I'm so ashamed.
She was worth so much more than that.I Love You L. Rice, love you forever in my heart.
Nothing fixes anything, I am sorry and I was wrong.

What's not for sale.

You can't buy a promise.
Not a compromise or a concern.
You can't buy an effort.
Can't buy effection, can't buy care.
You can't buy love, just rent out fake versions of it.
You can't buy talent. Either you have it or you haven't.
Can't buy a memory, those are paid for as they approach.
You can never buy honesty, Those people are what they are.
You actually can't buy anything. Weeds grow where weeds will grow.
Roses sometimes grow on rose bushes and then again, sometimes they don't.
I guess all you can do is try sometimes to forget and give it up.
Narrow is the path to walk and acceptance is the stream.
Wash your face, show nothing there. Life will be as it will be.

The end...

"Five to one baby, one to five. No one here gets out alive...."

James Douglas Morrison....

What a portrait! The man was art. Nothing compared with his unique stance on life.
The kid/guy/man was unique in the fact he saw through the pictures. Very little concern for the outcome or results of the efforts. He was more in sync with just living today and screw tomorrow.

I don't idolize him but wish I was more like him. I think I was once though because as a child I would stand in the rain getting soaked and just accept it. Now I have bullshit goals in a bullshit world. The rain was better...

Nothing changes anything. A fight is just a moment. Most are over in under a minute and nothing ever really hurts except memories. Memories linger on and on forever. Why bother with them? They alter nothing.

I envy him and his fukkit attitude.

I'm gonna just say "fukkit" and play this vid

Fuck you too...

For you Barb

Just to...

God bless you James Bain!

Fla. man exonerated after 35 years behind bars

BARTOW, Fla. – James Bain used a cell phone for the first time Thursday, calling his elderly mother to tell her he had been freed after 35 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit.

Mobile devices didn't exist in 1974, the year he was sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping a 9-year-old boy and raping him in a nearby field.

Neither did the sophisticated DNA testing that officials more recently used to determine he could not have been the rapist.

"Nothing can replace the years Jamie has lost," said Seth Miller, a lawyer for the Florida Innocence Project, which helped Bain win freedom. "Today is a day of renewal."

Bain spent more time in prison than any of the 246 inmates previously exonerated by DNA evidence nationwide, according to the project. The longest-serving before him was James Lee Woodard of Dallas, who was released last year after spending more than 27 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.

As Bain walked out of the Polk County courthouse Thursday, wearing a black T-shirt that said "not guilty," he spoke of his deep faith and said he does not harbor any anger.

"No, I'm not angry," he said. "Because I've got God."

The 54-year-old said he looks forward to eating fried turkey and drinking Dr Pepper. He said he also hopes to go back to school.

Friends and family surrounded him as he left the courthouse after Judge James Yancey ordered him freed. His 77-year-old mother, who is in poor health, preferred to wait for him at home. With a broad smile, he said he looks forward to spending time with her and the rest of his family.

"That's the most important thing in my life right now, besides God," he said.

Earlier, the courtroom erupted in applause after Yancey ruled.

"Mr. Bain, I'm now signing the order," Yancey said. "You're a free man. Congratulations."

Thursday's hearing was delayed 40 minutes because prosecutors were on the phone with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. DNA tests were expedited at the department's lab and ultimately proved Bain innocent. Prosecutors filed a motion to vacate the conviction and the sentence.

"He's just not connected to this particular incident," State Attorney Jerry Hill told the judge.

Attorneys from the Innocence Project of Florida got involved in Bain's case earlier this year after he had filed several previous petitions asking for DNA testing, all of which were thrown out.

A judge finally ordered the tests and the results from a respected private lab in Cincinnati came in last week, setting the wheels in motion for Thursday's hearing. The Innocence Project had called for Bain's release by Christmas.

He was convicted largely on the strength of the victim's eyewitness identification, though testing available at the time did not definitively link him to the crime. The boy said his attacker had bushy sideburns and a mustache. The boy's uncle, a former assistant principal at a high school, said it sounded like Bain, a former student.

The boy picked Bain out of a photo lineup, although there are lingering questions about whether detectives steered him.

The jury rejected Bain's story that he was home watching TV with his twin sister when the crime was committed, an alibi she repeated at a news conference last week. He was 19 when he was sentenced.

Ed Threadgill, who prosecuted the case originally, said he didn't recall all the specifics, but the conviction seemed right at the time.

"I wish we had had that evidence back when we were prosecuting cases. I'm ecstatic the man has been released," said Threadgill, now a 77-year-old retired appeals court judge. "The whole system is set up to keep that from happening. It failed."

Eric Ferrero, spokesman for the Innocence Project, said a DNA profile can be extracted from decades-old evidence if it has been preserved properly. That means sealed in a bag and stored in a climate-controlled place, which is how most evidence is handled as a matter of routine.

The project has a bigger problem with lost or destroyed evidence than getting usable DNA profiles from existing evidence, he said.

Florida last year passed a law that automatically grants former inmates found innocent $50,000 for each year they spent in prison. No legislative approval is needed. That means Bain is entitled to $1.75 million.

I am so glad you finally came to justice Mister James Bain, this is a great day for all of us when we finally see the flaws in our society and get the opertunity to repair them. Blessings Brother, keep on keeping on.

Mister David Bowie, Five years

The reason I'm posting this song is because it plays on like a dreamscape. When I hear it I can invision the whole scape. The corners of the streets, the cafe and all the people mentioned in it. I don't write like this, never could come even close to this type of quality but I do admire it. It's almost like a painting in sound....

Rare version, Dinah Shore Show back in 75. Poor quality vid but high quality in talent...

Five years:
Pushing thru the market
square
so many mothers sighing
News had just come over,
we had five years left to cry in

News guy wept and told us
earth was really dying
Cried so much his face was wet
then I knew he was not lying

I heard telephones, opera house, favourite melodies
I saw boys, toys electric irons and T.V.'s
My brain hurt like a warehouse
it had no room to spare
I had to cram so many things
to store everything in there
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people
And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people
I never thought I'd need so many people

A girl my age went off her head
hit some tiny children
If the black hadn't a-pulled her off, I think she would have killed them

A soldier with a broken arm, fixed his stare to the wheel of a Cadillac
A cop knelt and kissed the feet of a priest
and a queer threw up at the sight of that
I think I saw you in an ice-cream parlour
drinking milk shakes cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
don't think you knew you were in this song

And it was cold and it rained so I felt like an actor
And I thought of Ma and I wanted to get back there
Your face, your race, the way that you talk
I kiss you, you're beautiful, I want you to walk

We've got five years, stuck on my eyes
We've got five years, what a surprise
We've got five years, my brain hurts a lot
We've got five years, that's all we've got

Theresa...

Theresa means "The harvester" or more commonly known as "The Reaper"

You have in your possession the total cumulative of all the gains of my life. You call that a coincidence or an accident but reality offers me a different opinion. If we were sharing 50% then that would be fair, If you somehow obtained 80% then it would be slanted in your favor but to have 100% it just means you took it all.

Material possession means little to me and you know it. So how do you get more? You take my children. You scrape the skin off of my bones and only leave me narrow and weak.

The seeds that you are planting Hon are the crop from which you will eat. I see the blackest days coming for you now for the way you have lived your life

I'm sorry, but I can't fix you

Email from Jeri and what a Liars worth.

A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in
front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale ' He
rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the
backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador
retriever sitting there.

'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk,
he says 'So, what's your story?'
The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I
was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In
no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in
rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would
be eavesdropping.'
'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running. But the
jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any
younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the
airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious
characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and
was awarded a batch of medals.' 'I got married, had a mess of puppies,
and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for
the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing!
Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's a liar. He never did any of that stuff !!!!

A new look at cannibis Sativa, or "reefer"

Image: United States Fish and Wildlife Service

The list of medical uses for marijuana (Cannabis Sativa) continues to grow. The Journal of Natural Products recently published a paper outlining the newly isolated antibiotic effects of the class of molecules known as cannabanoids. This group includes the non-psychoactive cannabichromene, cannabigerol, and cannabidiol but also includes the well-known and definitely psychotropic tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Researchers believe that the powerful antibiotic effects of cannabanoids can be enlisted in the increasingly difficult fight against MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) and other ’superbugs’ that have evolved resistances to most modern antibiotics. MRSA is perhaps the best known of these superbugs, often running rampant in hospitals, with estimates of up to 1.2 million hospital patients becoming infected and possibly over 100,000 patients dying each year in the United States due to lack of effective medicines against them. The known effectiveness of cannabanoids and the fact that they have not been used before, and therefore no bacteria has yet developed a resistance to them, could prove to be a very valuable tool in the arms race against these constantly changing bacterial strains.

In some ways the notion of cannabis having antibiotic effects is counterintuitive. This is because it has been proven that the act of smoking marijuana actually increases vulnerability to infections. This vulnerability however seems to be a result of inhaling marijuana smoke or even smoke in general and likely has little to do with the presence or absence of cannabanoids.

Contrastingly, cannabis sativa itself, when not smoked, has been known since the 1950s to have strong antibacterial properties. However, as the technology of looking into how molecules are structured and how they interact was in its infancy at the time, the researchers were unable to determine which marijuana compounds were actually causing the antibacterial effects. As the social and research climates started to grow increasingly hostile to the investigation of black-listed substances in the US and around the world, antibiotic cannabis studies were soon shelved and ignored until they were finally picked up again fairly recently by modern science.

With all of the advances in chemical analysis made since the fifties, the new batch of scientists studying cannabis related antibiotics were now able to pinpoint the basic backbone structure that is common to all cannabanoids, to be the active component in killing off bacteria. Now that the bio-active section of the cannabanoid molecules has been identified, researchers and drug makers are busy developing and testing antibiotic drugs as well as considering potential uses for cannabanoids in various soaps and cleaning products. At present they are focusing their efforts on the derivatives of the non-psychoactive cannabanoids. This is presumably because the US FDA, and other governing bodies world-wide, might have a hard time with people getting high in order to cure a bacterial infection; not to mention getting high by just washing their hands.

LOL, I know a girl....

I know a girl. She loves Evenescence.
She has only one thing in common with her brothers,
they only like girls that look like her.
must be nice to love yourself that way, but I don't know.
Nobody looks like me except my sons and knowing them is loving them,
but not self adoration.

I can't conceptually understand the need to have more than one mirror to see yourself in.
She won't read my writing anymore.
I guess she's tired of hearing anyone except herself.
She draws lines through her reality
Seems the more she want, the less she get.
My fault? I guess it is, transgressions brought me here,
the breech of faith and broken law.
Where I go and where I go from here is circumstantial, nothing more

Evanescence and Edna Swap & "yes I am sorry Edna Swap does not look like her"

OMG, it took me more than ten years to find this.

A shoulda been classic, Street Fight by David Essex.

This was one of my favorite songs from the 70's when I was a tough punk,,, LOL

David Essex post....

This is the guy from the Godspell play, he's pretty good. Lamplight and then Rock on. I personally think lamplight is better of the two but it never hit the radio in the USA.

BTW, I looked him up recently and he's still out there doing shows "Rock On David", always good to know these guys keep on keeping on.

More Patula Clark.

Petula Clark sings "Winchester Cathedral" & "This Is My Song.
(I think she's beautiful)

Sweet Leaf <--- the love of Marijuana song

LOL, this is a love song for a weed...

Christmas sucks!

My father is dead, my brother almost, my son is dead, my mother died too and with that turn she showed my what kind of shit her family was made of. It has nothing to do with God or Jesus anyway and faking it does only adds to the insult.

This song I heard just after my mothers funeral and had to ask why it was so deep within me and why it was so exposed.
