Intro to Distant Fingers:
Distant Fingers:
Following is a paragraph on her taken from Wiki's site [located here].
Patricia Lee "Patti" Smith (born December 30, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter, poet and visual artist, who became a highly influential component of the New York City punk rock movement with her 1975 debut album Horses. Called the "Godmother of Punk", she integrated the beat poetry performance style with three-chord rock. Smith's most widely known song is "Because the Night", which was co-written with Bruce Springsteen and reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. In 2005, Patti Smith was named a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture, and in 2007, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Several types of texture effects like brick, stone or stucco for interior or exterior.
What I recommend is that you buy the proper coloring agent for the product that you are using and pre-color it before you apply, so that nicks, bruises and scratches will never stand out. I also do not recommend using joint compound. Because joint compound tends to dry unevenly and cracks appear throughout it if your coating is more than 1/8th inch thick, unless you want the cracks.
Some products require a coat of Weld-bond to be applied over sheetrock or painted surfaces. You should ask sales agent exactly what the proper method of prep is involved or it might just peel itself off while drying. Also you don't have to do a professional repair job, but you will need to tape and repair cracks around doors and windows using mesh tape or even patches sometimes. If not then they will crack through the finish almo0st immediately.
The other thing I recommend is just mix about 3/4 gallon of product and play with it first in a test area. You can usually use it a few times, just try it out, look at the results and then scrape it off and try it again and then again to get the feel of the product. Once satisfied go crazy and get to it. You'll be saving yourself several thousands of dollars and increasing the value of your property by a huge amount. If you're like me you might even have a good time doing it too.
Have fun...
How to make a steel door look like natural wood...
This is a great painting technique that almost anyone can do to add value to almost any room. The first time I had ever seen this it was used in both a steel elevator and steel railings on the stairway along side it. I was young then, maybe 16 or 17 so I asked a few questions about it and it turns out it had been done about 50 years earlier. This means it's very durable because I know that stairway took a beating over the years.

This is the best book out there on dreams, "10,000 Dreams Interpreted" in E-Text.
Hello Everyone,
This is the best book out there on dreams. I have bought about 20 copies of it myself because friends read a little and they want one too, so I give them one and buy another.
It was written by Gustavus Hindman Miller "1857-1923" and is in text format. I obtained this from a site called "Project Gutenberg" about 13 years ago. They also offer over 22,000 free books in many different formats. I love the cook books and some of the handyman type texts.
Here is a link to the text version, just save the page and it will save as a text file [Download Text Here]. <--- It is too large to post here in text, so this is best way for me to do this.
Here is a link to Gutenbergs site [LINK].
Here is a link to the e-text of 10,000 dreams (in many different formats), if you'd rather read it online [LINK].
"Project Gutenberg began in 1971 when Michael Hart was given an operator's account with $100,000,000 of computer time in it by the operators of the Xerox Sigma V mainframe at the Materials Research Lab at the University of Illinois.
This was totally serendipitous, as it turned out that two of a four operator crew happened to be the best friend of Michael's and the best friend of his brother. Michael just happened "to be at the right place at the right time" at the time there was more computer time than people knew what to do with, and those operators were encouraged to do whatever they wanted with that fortune in "spare time" in the hopes they would learn more for their job proficiency.
At any rate, Michael decided there was nothing he could do, in the way of "normal computing," that would repay the huge value of the computer time he had been given ... so he had to create $100,000,000 worth of value in some other manner. An hour and 47 minutes later, he announced that the greatest value created by computers would not be computing, but would be the storage, retrieval, and searching of what was stored in our libraries.
He then proceeded to type in the "Declaration of Independence" and tried to send it to everyone on the networks ... which can only be described today as a not so narrow miss at creating an early version of what was later called the "Internet Virus."
A friendly dissuasion from this yielded the first posting of a document in electronic text, and Project Gutenberg was born as Michael stated that he had "earned" the $100,000,000 because a copy of the Declaration of Independence would eventually be an electronic fixture in the computer libraries of 100,000,000 of the computer users of the future."
