Bachman, Turner, Overdrive
Randolph Charles Bachman, OC, OM (/bækmən/) (born September 27, 1943) was lead guitarist and songwriter of the 1970s rock bands, The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Bachman was also a member of the band Brave Belt with Chad Allan and a band called Ironhorse, and has recorded numerous solo albums. [Wiki link here]

I know this music is outdated and way out of current style but I'm posting it anyway because Randy Bachman broke the mold. Update : Saving, viewing & converting files for free
You can save any file I post here very easily if you follow the steps below. Most will be saved as flv format which stinks if you want to put them on your I-Pod, flash drive (to view on your nice new digital-TV) or burn them to DVD. All you need is listed below to do it all for free.
First are two download devices. One is a program extension for both Mozilla Firefox & Internet Explorer. It's called "Orbit Downloader". I like the program and use it most all the time but the upgrades never seem to work for me. I built a brand new PC yesterday and installed the latest version and it does not see content from YouTube. I have had that same problem in the past and my cure for it was getting an older version and keeping a copy of it. My next option is Ant.com's AntBar. It is a browser addon, but virus free. I have never tried it on Internet Explorer because I won't use internet Explorer but it does work fine with Firefox. The only couple complaints I have on that addon are that everything goes by default into it's own folder and next that it gives the file the name that it chooses. I hate that because I download telivision shows in series and it's almost impossible to put them into proper order for viewing when the names are something like "oyouu iiuoo 0ast" & "agth fgres tytytyooon" & people name them that way for a reason (to avoid search engines). Between the two & with a little bit of messing around with em you can save just about anything you view or listen to.

Download version 1.5 for : Internet Explorer - Mozilla Firefox
Those are to save with. To view I recomend you get 2 players. First is VLC Player from Media Lan because it will play almost everything "if" you get the additional plugin package. Both are free at this link [here] for Windows or Mac. Some flv movies and vids will not decode properly with that application, so you might need another. It's a sweet tiny stand alone program (means you don't need to install it and can even run it off of a flash drive), it's called appropriatly "Wimpy Media Player". Here is the link to that [link]. One great thing about Wimpy is you can toss it onto a disk or drive with a movie or some vids and you don't get screamed at for installing anything on yer friends computer. Just click on it and browse for the file or drag the file onto it & it plays.
Last is FormatFactory:
You should grab this right now and save a copy of the program in your storage files because out of about 100 progs I've seen, used (& paid for) this one is the tops. It can convert anything except SWF & FLA to anything and it's FREE. I have seen these progs jump from free to "fork over $89.00 for a working version" within days and without warning. Here is the link for the free version out now [link]. One tad bit of advice with this prog is you gotta use the settings if you value good sound quality. By default it has audio output set to 122 bit, I'm not a fan of blurry sounds, it is set same for ripping cd's. I just go into settings and increase the quality settings and file is a little larger but worth the extra effort & space consumption.

Old-School Style, Midi Music files
These (as far as I can tell) are all old-school midi files. I just got these in an email & I kinda like em myself. I used to use them to hack earlier games and set them up to play music I liked rather than the crap midi's that came with the game.
Also I liked the simplicity of the sound for just some very low & mellow background music to listen to while reading or having dinner.

Anyway, I think it's a good find & I hope some of you can use a few.
BTW: the way I hacked the game was I searched the installed folder for *.midi or *.wav, found the files & locations of them and simply did some renaming. For example a common one would be called bcgrnd.midi I would change that name to bcgrnd(2).midi, then I'd copy the one I'd rather hear and paste it into that folder and change the name of my new midi to bcgrnd.midi. This also works with almost all windows operating sounds from startup sound to phone ringing to shut down sound and every other one in between.

Now everyone can download Windows 7 software. Though you can install this full featured version of Windows 7, it carries the beta tag and is recommended for testers and developers who experiment with new software, test new features and give feedback to improve the software.
Install Windows 7
Firstly they recommend you don’t install the Beta if you cannot troubleshoot your own PC problems and Microsoft will not not provide technical support for the Windows 7 Beta. Also if you have only one main computer, don’t install the Beta on your primary home or work computer. You might be interested to take a Windows 7 tour before you get started.
Before you start, you should be prepared that the beta tag is for a purpose. You will need technical skills to install Windows 7 and should know hot to burn an ISO file to make an install DVD, install Windows, backup and restore your PC and set up a network.
Once you are sure you have those technical skills, check your computer specifications to know if your computer can install Windows 7. You will need a 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 1 GB of system memory, 16 GB of available disk space, support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory, DVD-R/W Drive, and internet access. Here is a quick guide to install Windows 7 easily. You might also want to take a look at how to dual boot Windows 7 with XP or Vista. You can also install Windows 7 on Macbook Pro using Boot Camp.
Remember the Windows 7 Beta software expires on August 1, 2009. To continue using your PC, be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiration date. As new bugs are fixed, new beta versions will be released and setting your PC to automatically check for updates through Windows Update, will help to keep your version current and bug free. Read the release notes.
