Neil Young Words

"Someone and someone were down by the pond
Looking for something to plant in the lawn.
Out in the fields they were turning the soil
Im sitting here hoping this water will boil
When I look through the windows and out on the road
Theyre bringing me presents and saying hello.

Singing words, words between the lines of age.
Words, words between the lines of age.
If I was a junkman selling you cars,
Washing your windows and shining your stars,
Thinking your mind was my own in a dream
What would you wonder and how would it seem?
Living in castles a bit at a time
The king started laughing and talking in rhyme.

Singing words, words between the lines of age.
Words, words between the lines of age."

Words are and have always been the most violent of mans weapons.
Nothing can ever compare with the damage done to mankind by the word.
Exclusively a word can outlast almost every memory.
Singularly it posses within itself the power to destroy societies and nations.
No power has man ever had that exceeded the power of the fuckin big mouth.
No weapon has ever been used that can cause as much damage as the lie and the lies are only fuckin shitty words.
Words reduce, seduce, tempt, triumph, dominate and reduce the likeliness of anothers intent.
They steal, they redeem only liars and their efforts most of the time.
They reduce reality to a bargain or reason to treason.
The asshole puts out shit to expell it but the mouth creates shit to use it.
In this song it describes words as between the lines of age.
I find that significant because every age known to man has ended over words just as each has begun with words.
No measure has ever been counted except by those counted by words.
No balance sheet ever went into score without first being weighed out in words.
Watch yer mouth son because everyone else does...
