No leg to mend, to cast
no arm to sling
no eye to patch
no breath to catch
No heart to calm
no hand to soothe in stream
no wound to dress
no smile to earn
no love to offer
none to desire from
no confusion
nothing left to learn
no speech to make
no more to hear
no color to distract from this
no more beginnings, no more end
no more woeful solemn moments
no more missing those you love
no more reading poetry under modern light
no more believing what they said
no more fishing in a meadow stream
no more casting out in silent love
no more worries
but no more rewards i guess
no more feeling inner doubts
no more music or the memories
no more holding those you love
no more expectations
no more fantasies
no more willingness
no more trust
no more eating things and enjoying them
no more drinking to quench a thirst
no more forgiving
no more bargaining
no more efforts to make things right
no more efforts to keep things right
no more finding no more fighting for no more losing things no more caring no more shame no more pride no more selfishness no more disgusting urges no more to tame no more endless nights worrying no more mornings waking up sick no more afternoons "and now the day is gone" no more evenings to plan a day before no more fishes you measure to decide to eat no more fishes you count just to see no more swimming in water that's just not quite right no more snow in shoes that freeze no more ice that melts and no debt...
no more delusion
no more fantasy
no more hope
no loss of faith
no more, no more, no more no more, no more
only this...
No more, you will wait.
