Collective Soul

Collective Soul is a very heavy Christian based band. It "shines" right through their music. I am a believer myself of Jesus and of Gods word and I respect their efforts.

I have hesitated to post them because I'm not sure I want them represented in junction with others I post here. After thinking though I do want to post them and I hope you like them.

In 1971, Mitch Ryder Formed Another Group Called "Detroit" And Recorded An Excellent Album Produced By Canadian Producer Bob Ezrin...Who Also Produced Pink Floyd, Kiss, Alice Cooper & Many Others. This Single Called "Rock 'N Roll" Was Written By Lou Reed And Is Featured On Their Album Titled "Detroit" Released In 1972

If you missed it [here] is the first post. It's an awesome version of the classic Ode to Billy Joe done as more of an improv sketch than as the song.

Coming up is one originally done in 1970 by a band called "The Coven". I don't know if Susan Jacks sang with them or did a cover version of the song "One Tin Soldier" for the movie "Billy Jack" but I'm pretty sure that this is not the radio version of the song.

One of the best books I ever read

A Reverence for wood, Written by Eric Sloane (& published by "Funk", LOL)


The only books I have ever read more than once are "The Holy Bible, A Reverence for wood and the exhibitionist out of thousands.

The Bible I have read out of need, Reverence because it is well written and I am interested in its content, The Exhibitionist I only read page 222 and some after a few times Meritith Hoffman seemed sexy and I was only 11 years old.

Posted here is not much of an example of the book and the reason for that is Mister Sloane is both a writer & an artist. There is no way I could post very much of it without giving it all away.

Buy the book, it's a gem...
