This page was made by me to comment on a blog post that pissed me off and replies to it are moderated. I made my own without the filters because I WANTED TO COMMENT!

Before I get started on this page I'm going to have to make a few things clear.

This girl "Barb" has a Wordpress blog and through my searches for information on new laws, government related issues and the Occupy movement I found one of her blog pages. I must have just gotten lucky though because it contained about 5 posts and they were all decent reads.

I was impressed enough with her that I both subscribed to her feed and shared her blog with many of my friends. I'm not so impressed now though.

Below is a copy of what I got in her email yesterday. It disgusted me so much with the Archie Bunker stereotype attitude and the purely negative one sided, impotent and demeaning, senseless, slandering and shameful way that it accuses people in need and even goes on further to insult anyone attempting to give them any form of support,,,

Back to the point, I opened that email about 3 times before I could bring myself down enough to actually read it beginning to end. I don't know where this... woman, got her colors from but she shows some serious signs of someone that grew up or created for herself some kind of strange environment. Her way of seeing the world that I live in, I think the one that most of us live in is scary beyond doubt.

I read her .... and I see visions of mass extermination, smiling barbara's standing over them gloating and squealing with delight

I had better get off that topic right now, but first one of the other things I had to say before we get to her post...

Why am I so offended?

I'll have to take you back to a place in time. This is the year 1967 and to this day I have only shared any of that time once in writing, I'll do it here again I guess though...

It was 1967. My father owned a construction company. It was called The American Rock Lath Company INC. It was a real company and it was incorporated

We at that time had all of the potential to become a very well established and upper middle class American family.

I was 6 years old at the time.

In October that year my father went to the dentist to have a tooth extracted. Because of the A.M.A.'s regulations the dentist at that time had to give other medical professionals a cut from the cake and my father was told to go from there to the hospital in the next city and get a shot of antibiotics.

He was very healthy and never knew a thing about being ill or weakness, he also thought that if it was all that important then the dentist could have given him the damn shot then and there. He went back to his work to do what he did best instead, he after all did have his employee's to look out for and to contend with.

That night he came home and I sat on his lap with him for the very last time in my life.

He quickly got an infection in his blood that quickly moved into his heart. Bacterial Endocarditis was what they called it. The rest from there on was him suffering, them cutting out pieces of his heart, us living off of nothing, everything being sold for next to nothing and then in the end it was April, the first nice day of the year and he died.

The story is not about that though. It's about this...

I think it was about 15 or 16 months long going through this. In the end I fukkin knew what poverty was. We had 12 children living in a 2 bedroom house. I slept on the bathroom floor or in the bathtub (when it was my turn). A large bag of white rice was ten to fifteen cents. We ate once a day on most days and we waited for that rice and we ate it and it was good. The other food we were too scared to eat. I wouldn't eat the good side of a rotted tomato.

I'm not talking about those fucking years anymore and I'm kind of pissed that that barb chose to talk about that life on her silly little blog, in her own special way!!!

Has it occurred to anyone else that the enormous gulf that SEEMS to run between left and right, between Liberals and Conservatives – but not necessarily between parties – is a deliberate ploy, employed well by the progressives throughout the twentieth century to manufacture a gulf, class warfare and attempt to polarize WE-THE-PEOPLE? WE are the power source in our Constitutional Republic! Yet the left and the liberal Democrats, led by President Obama, insist they know how to fix everything that is wrong with America. They know better, but of course, they cannot DO anything alone, so they want more and more money, more and more “Regulation” to advance their agenda.

Ironic, huh?

In spite of its mantra that implies the Liberal Democrats are the party “of the people,” strangely, it is this mindset that has produced the “social reforms” that were to “lift the burden” from the people. However, in retrospect, these social welfare programs have done nothing but perpetuate slavery in the name of compassion! It seems clear the liberal left does not apprehend the difference between the hand up and the hand out!

So … does the liberal left ELITE, the ones in power who want to control every facet of our lives – what we eat, what we do on the internet, how we pray, what our clergy may or may not say from their pulpits, what medical procedures we may or may not be eligible to receive … Yup, THIS is the Liberal left! Do they have a … a PLAN? NO! Have yo0u seen a real plan come from the White House? NO … no plan! No budget in over 900 days! But … he does want 4 more years to finish his destruction of our nation and the disembowelment of our US CONSTITUTION.

The progressive movement born under the reign of Woodrow Wilson, slowly and deceptively has succeeded in replacing our liberties with a poor substitute for “security.” Food stamps replace the FEAR of no food. Medicaid replaces the FEAR of sudden illness. While these needs may be real, the GOVERNMENT is not designed to carry this burden, but rather to make resources available for those who wish to help and second, to publish the programs designed to help. The programs, however, must be supported and run 100% by the public, not the government.

UNDERSTANDING POVERTY IN THE UNITED STATES: SURPRISING FACTS ABOUT AMERICA’S POOR

Executive Summary
Today, the Census Bureau released its annual poverty report, which declared that a record 46.2 million persons, or roughly one in seven Americans, were poor in 2010. The numbers were up sharply from the previous year’s total of 43.6 million. Although the current recession has increased the numbers of the poor, high levels of poverty predate the recession. In most years for the past two decades, the Census Bureau has declared that at least 35 million Americans lived in poverty.

The following are facts about persons defined as “poor” by the Census Bureau as taken from various government reports:

80 percent of poor households have air conditioning. In 1970, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning. You got that load of crap from http://www.econlib.org/library/Enc/Housing.html, and it is just a load of crap! Read this “Since the 1970’s, the amount of electricity used by residential air conditioners has dropped by about 15 per cent per decade, thanks to improvements in such things as coil designs, compressors and circulation systems. Indeed, today’s most efficient air conditioners use 30 to 40 per cent less energy than models sold 10 or 15 years ago.” [link] I couldn't get great quotes, but I found this one after over an hour searching...1970 ranged from US$4066 to US$4329 now it's $750 - $1000 for at least 40% more efficient and The minimum wage in 1970 was $1.60. A new car cost $3,800 and a new house cost $23,400.00. The average annual income in 1970 was $17,550.00, right now the average annual income is broken into groups and not so easily defined, but $65,317 is the Mid range found on ask.com. Using those numbers then that $4,000 lower priced air conditioner would have been equal in cost to purchasing one for over $12,000 if you were to count the hours spent earning the money that you took from your earnings to pay for it. Instead though, you can buy a better one now for about $750, which reflects about a 7 month savings of all your earnings for that amount of time and today it's not even a 5 day work weeks take home pay. You should not compare values of products that have gone so far down in value that even the poor can now enjoy them to a time when only the wealthy had the option to own them. Do you remember in 1976, the digital watches? They were about 4 to $6,000. Does owning a digital watch make you part of the "higher class" if you own one now? It did then, didn't it?"
92 percent of poor households have a microwave. “I don’t own one, but I’ve thrown many away. Counter space is worth more than 1 $40 microwave and that fad ended over 10 years ago. Please stop[ counting accumulated trash as a sign of wealth. You Only mock yourself when you do that Missy.”
Nearly three-fourths have a car or truck, and 31 percent have two or more cars or trucks. “That is not true! It may be true in rural area’s where a vehicle can be kept on the property and there is room enough to keep a not so well working spare, but most people live in or near the cities and there is no way a 6 family house that’s occupied by about 12 adults and 4 or 5 teens that have driving privileges can park on that property or the streets surrounding it 17 vehicles and you damn well know it!”
Nearly two-thirds have cable or satellite TV. “Our Government paved the way for cable TV to take over almost all access to media through television Many rules were imposed and many court cases fought here is a list of a few. In the end we were guaranteed that we would not lose our access to educational programming, local programming or the news media. In short, as a result of the political ass-kissing done through our elected officials the final agreement was that everyone can have and should have cable access or the equivalent because they need it. They especially need it if there are children living in the home to be used as part of their education.”
Two-thirds have at least one DVD player, and 70 percent have a VCR. “DVD player $14.99 all day long at Geeks.com, VCR’s $5 at Salvation Army, Goodwill and Free from neighbors, but who even wants one anyway?”
Half have a personal computer, and one in seven have two or more computers. “Computers are as good as free these days, you shouldn’t count them as a sign of wealth, I just gave away 2 last week myself and have given away more than 30 in the last 7 or 8 years.”
More than half of poor families with children have a video game system, such as an Xbox or PlayStation. “If you count out-dated equipment and kids fiddling with thrown away junk, then I’ll let you have that number!”
43 percent have Internet access. “IMPOSSIBLE! 43% of the poor do not have internet, unless you count the library cards that they use to access the net with.”
One-third have a wide-screen plasma or LCD TV. “Are you jealous? They don’t even sell CRT anymore and LCD pays for itself every month in the energy reduction. You should read ALL the reports, ya-think???”
One-fourth have a digital video recorder system, such as a TiVo. “VCR’s are NOT a sign of wealth or prosperity, unless you are using them to look for accusations and most of them are given away free as part of the service that comes with Dish Network.”
But 51% of Americans are too poor to pay taxes??? pfft, 1% OWN 99% of everything and they are too "good" to pay the taxes that support what they own and the other 99% pay to support pretty much only their interests!

Judge Judy Exposes Reason #376 Why “Poor” People Should Pay Taxes, Too (VIDEO) Talk about “misappropriation of funds!!! lol “Judge Judy never addressed anything of the sort. She addressed a 21 year old male college student who receives college grants and sleeps with a woman almost 50% older than him and admits that the sex and conversations with her more than paid his way into her bed. Judge Judy never said a word about poor people at all.”

Few Americans know poverty as the World knows it. Surely, a "neighbor" can help meet the need.

For 2009, the survey showed:

96 percent of poor parents stated that their children were never hungry at any time during the year because they could not afford food.*

83 percent of poor families reported having enough food to eat.*

82 percent of poor adults reported never being hungry at any time in the prior year due to lack of money for food.*

Other government surveys show that the average consumption of protein, vitamins, and minerals is virtually the same for poor and middle-class children and is well above recommended norms in most cases.

*NOTE: Government food programs in schools are mandatory. Those numbers were published to support that program and no parent in his or her right mind would say publicly that their children go hungry or they would risk having them removed from the home!

Television newscasts about poverty in America generally portray the poor as homeless people or as a destitute family living in an overcrowded, dilapidated trailer. In fact, however:

Over the course of a year, 4 percent of poor persons become temporarily homeless.

Only 9.5 percent of the poor live in mobile homes or trailers, 49.5 percent live in separate single-family houses or townhouses, and 40 percent live in apartments.

Question: 4% + 9.5% + 49.5% + 40% totals 104%, right? While we’re on that subject. It is correct to assume that 9.9% (the homeless and trailer-park trash scum with the nintendo’s, microwaves and plasma TV’s that have the satellite dish and 1 or 2 computers with the internet, Tivo and the VCR’s, well about just less than 8 out of 10 of them also have air conditioners, huh?

42 percent of poor households actually own their own homes. If the bottom 25% of Americans make $22,500 or less each year when 31 years ago they made $17,550 and a house cost $23,400 then, but it costs $221,900, you are actually going to say that out of the 104% that you used above, the 9.9% already live nowhere or in a trailer park, so then the other 93.1%, out of them the 42% of the whole can be counted, right? I think when you removed the trailer-park trash then that brought your 42% up to the count of about 50% of the renters and the guys living in luxury and “well kept apartments”, own their own homes, right? Something’s wrong with your math here Cookie. Again... if 4% are homeless, 40% live renting in apartments, 9.5% in trailer homes then you already counted 53.5%, if you take 42% away from that then all you got left is 4.5%. Are you kinda sorta saying that only 4.5% of Americans that live in a house or town house rent and the rest own them? What about the cities? Isn’t that where you have the highest concentration of families? They don’t have many townhouses or single family homes in the cities, but the ones they do have you say that all but less than 5 out of 100 of the low income people living in them actually own them? Only 6 percent of poor households are overcrowded. More than two-thirds have more than two rooms per person. You show me a family of 4 (that is considered the average size now) with an 8 room apartment and I’ll bake you a cake... pffft!!!!!!!

The average poor American has more living space than the typical non-poor person in Sweden, France, or the United Kingdom. *NOTE: In France they don’t rent, all but 06.9% OWN THEIR HOMES! In France they get their education For FREE and my friends in Sweden brag that living conditions there are better than here and they laugh about our lies and politics. Actually though.. Everybody laughs about our blow-job president, Bush’s Grandfather helping Nazi Germany, rumors of Bin Ladin’s family being rescued only days after 9/11 and our own president making oil deals with them, they laugh most about idiots just like you that strive to feed the lies that turned our great nation into what it’s become today too....
The vast majority of the homes or apartments of the poor are in good repair. The term “good” and “repair” do not work together in the same sentence, the word “vast” is meaningless without a point of reference and whole cities are left almost abandoned right now. Why don’t you sell your bullshit to Detroit, go there face to face with the people and say your little story?

I found your blog a few days ago and subscribed to your feed. I was pretty excited by the information that you seemed to have posted opposing government propaganda.

Now though I read this post and it is quite full of that type of propaganda.

You left way to many holes in this and I mean in just about every aspect of it.

For one, even the numbers are way off. The increase in food stamps recipients reflects only the amount still deemed eligible, but it fails to address the issues of newer regulations that forced those in need out of the program.

Another were the numbers on air-conditioners. You state an increase from 36% to 80% since 1970, what you failed to look at was the comparison between the two times you used. In 1970 they were just starting to become affordable and only the upper class citizens could afford them. Today however you need to pay $40 to dispose of a unit through local waste management facilities (this is an actual figure from an incident that happened 5 years ago), also today you can get them free on Free Cycle and through many other means like the giveaway’s in local newspapers. When was the last time you heard of anyone offering to give away a case of baby formula?

You claim vitamin equivalences, but that’s just about as bogus a claim as anyone can make. ALL tests show the exact opposite. The real results are that healthy foods cannot be afforded and are quickly being substituted with $1 double cheeseburger specials from fast food restaurants and other lower cost, yet very high in fat foods. You know the ones I’m talking about? When you watch the news at night about how the poor are stuffing their faces with junk food and getting obese and it’s all their own faults. The segment between the Burger King, Wendy’s and McDonald’s commercials that offer the “value meals”. Or the 7-11 Special on Grab 2 for just $2 that offers two big bags of chips and 2 huge soda’s (months supply of sugar & fat for less than the cost of 1/5 a trimmed raw chicken breast at Walmarts Grocery section)

Oh and the 96% of the parents that say “openly” that their children never went hungry… LOL, 100% of them know Damn well that if they did admit their children went hungry they would be removed from the home.

You find some extra time on your hands in between your accusations against those who are suffering in this economy then email me. Reason #5) Record Number Of US Kids Face Hunger and Homelessness

A report released by National Center on Family Homelessness finds that one in 45 US children (1.6 million) are homeless, the majority under the age of seven. The Christian Science Monitor reports, “The number of homeless children in 2010 exceeded even the total in 2006, when thousands of families displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita produced a historic spike in homelessness.”

It doesn’t stop there. According to recent figures released by the USDA, 17.2 million American households (14.5 percent) are "food insecure,” one of the highest recorded rates since surveys were first conducted in 1995. As a result, 16.2 million American children – one in five-- face the threat of hunger. According to emergency room doctors in cities around the country, this is leading to a dramatic spike in malnourishment in babies.

Over the summer, the Boston Globe reported on shocking levels of infant malnourishment in Massachusetts. Doctors at the Boston Medical Center (BMC) reported seeing “more hungry and dangerously thin young children in the emergency room than at any time in more than a decade of surveying families.” Pediatricians in other large cities, including Baltimore, Little Rock, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia, have also seen a rise in infant and child malnourishment since 2008.

BMC doctors also warn that “rising chronic hunger threatens to leave scores of infants and toddlers with lasting learning and developmental problems.”

The Globe likened child malnourishment and hunger among Boston’s poor to levels seen in the "developing world."

Most of the people choose to defend, in an active or passive fashion, the current order of things mostly because of ignorance and comfort. People are taught since childhood to think and act only in their own personal best interest in order to aggressively seek power and material wealth, to bury compassion and any other normal human value. It is sad to see that too many people plan their lives like a business investment, accepting less and less time for themselves and their families.
Wake up and join the light - because it only takes a little light within darkness to render it obsolete.

I just got this in my email and thought I should share it. I can usually save an email as a document and that would have worked fine, but I just upgraded my FireFox and for some reason I can't do that today.

I think the cause is very important and even more so I like the links to the information that you can use to dig deeper on different points of the topic.

From here on it's all email. I hope this finds some use amongst a few of my friends.

This week, experts are speaking out against the massive crime bill that our Conservative government is rushing through Parliament.¹ Even conservative Texans are warning Canada not to follow America’s failed path of mandatory sentences and massive prison expansion.² Now, we need a massive public outcry to stop the bill, and make Canada safer, not meaner.

Experts agree that the crime bill would make Canada a more dangerous place by filling new prisons with people who should not be there. Every billion dollars our federal government forces our provinces to spend on new prisons is a billion dollars that could have been spent preventing crimes by supporting programs for at-risk youth, drug and alcohol treatment programs, and strategies for mental health.

P.S. The crime bill would raise the cost of filing for a pardon from $150 to $600. Why? That money wont pay for new prisons, it will keep poor people from getting jobs.

She unintentionally lets loose two homicidal cartoon characters, Dr. Carnage and Max Assassin. They are out of the cartoon dimension and into the world as we know it. The fiendish characters stalk, torment and kill the party-goers in wild and kooky cartoon traditions. Cindy is the only one who has the power to stop the demented animations from continuing their insane murder spree. Can she save her friends? Can she save herself from the crazy mayhem? .....or will everyone die?

My opinion? I kinda liked it. It did get a little shocking to a point a few times, but a lot of it was pretty amusing.

Trouble making a video...Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time

This is not a great version. It's a screen cap of a high definition of one I'm trying to make.

I "borrowed" this song because it's beautiful, but not so much to make a music vid with.

I am trying to make a template with layers, frames and transitions in high definition. I'm working on an AMD AM2, 3 Ghz with 4 Gb ram, and it should be more than enough, but it isn't. Every time I attempt to join the vid together the programs crash. My settings are 640 X 480 "4X3 format" @ 30 fps. In all cases I re-size everything to those dimensions too before I import my work into the video editor. I also use the same settings for transitions in animated gif and convert those to Divx format.

Something is wrong and some advice would be appreciated [email:FunkingDave@gmail.com], if you have any to offer.

I'm using Paint Shop pro X3 and X4, also Pennacle Studio 14, VideoSpin, DebugMode Wax 2.0 and trying out a few others.

My ambition is to make a full length film introducing highlights of current social trends and changes in government, in order to introduce others to access to find more information on a wide range of topics that I have found to be very interesting.

I hope you enjoy this video and I hope Cyndi Lauper doesn't get offended over me using it for this stage of my studying. I will search for her name and send her a link to this if I can.

Here to tell you about some fantastic video editing software and it's all FREE from the Satish Kumar at DebugMod.

I really have no idea who he is, but I'd like to chat with him some day. He's putting out some excellent software and he aint in it for the buck. I admire that (I also know he needs some bucks to survive too)

Below I'll give my weak version of an intro into some of his software. Next the page links and at the bottom a few vids that you can watch for a little jump start from the experienced editing artists to get you started.

Wax 2.0 is (as I said) free. It handles many file types (codecs) and even more than that it allows you to decide the output frame sixe. Not many others allow that. It is also pretty fast compared to all the crap I've bought and after installing I notice no change in my computers speed or performance.

WinMorph is an addon for WAX and it also works as a standalone package. After installing, it will see what else you have that it can or cannot work with (you decide if you want the plugins attached to other programs or not). It found my Adobe Premier and CS5, it also found my Ulead Video Studio 8. I allowed the plugins, but haven't tried them out on the others yet.

The Presets I don't remember how I found, might even be in with the plugins page.

The other two are what I call extra's. FrameServer will allow you to dismantle video content for use in maling animated gifs, scenes or to merge in as transitional effects. I use VLC myself for stealing frames, but I'll try that one out later anyway. Wink is a sort of capturing device. It allows for you to add in buttons and with it you can build swf files, pdf's presentation files and many other choices. It is (as I understand), mostly used for making tutorials. I think I fould find other uses for it as well, but that's getting off-topic.

Beyond that Satish has a few others. I'll look into them later, or you can do it yourself any time you want on his home page [HERE]

Music has always been an important part of my life. Some would say too much so, but I don't think so. No matter how you call it, it's been there every step of the way.

Both my mother and aunt Pat were (at one time), professional backup singers for the top Country & Western bands, performers, whatever, when I was a young child. That did nothing to attract me to music in any way though. Even at age 8, 9 or 10 I could see right through the phoney accents, the bullshit drama and the freakin costumes were so bad that just calling them bad would be complimenting them. I hated sitting in the corner of the bar with my baby brother, younger brother & sister when I was 10 and staying quiet and out of the way until 1 or 2:00 AM. Worse than that was sitting out in the car on other nights, parked on the side of the bar or in the rear. Call it what you want, but I don't see much in Country music that I don't just want to spit at. There are a few greats and I admire them greatly, still this post isn't about that. It's about the music of my life. Not theirs.

Rock, Blues, Jazz, Soul, tiny bit of Disco (maybe), Gospel, those are the sounds more agreeable to me. Most of those I hate too though. I just hate cookie-cutter anything. I Love talent though and this post is about talent.

I could go 1,000 directions with this post. I'm just going to stick with Steve Winwood. I'll share from Wiki's page on him, rather than share the lies and rumors that I had heard in my younger days. I'll do that after I have my say though.

I was 15 years old and in my first real apartment when I got a copy of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. I wasn't even sure I was allowed to like it publicly then, so I asked a few friends if they liked it. One friend that I admired asked me to play it for him because he loved it and we got stoned listening to it over and over and on that day I became a fan.

It had a Middle Earth feeling to it, sort of dreamy, sort of like the British meadow-lands even before England. Had some electric sounds too, but the horns, flutes were all new to me then.

Later when I got married (just a few years later) I got a copy of Welcome to the Canteen. I think I ruined it listening to it (8-track tapes only last so long). I couldn't even order another copy now, because (they all said..) it was just an event type recording. It had been made to raise money for The Oz Benefit Concert. I was pissed! I called everyone and tried everything. I even offered $250 for a decent quality recorded copy of that album, because it reminded me so much of those early days with my wife.

Steve Winwood also looked exactly like my brother Larry and Larry picked right up on it. We would party our asses o0ff and he would air guitar to the music. I can't even tell you how beautiful he was. Later he was struck by a car and he lives now, but has no memory of anything except before the accident.

Soo, Traffic, Steve Winwood have been with me through some of the best times in my life.
I hear the music now, I have to be careful with it. I don't "just" play it, because I don't want to ever trade off those memories for new ones I might make.

I usually only listen a little and listen alone and Love my Brother again, and Love my Wife again and remember that age when I was still young and green and actually needed a friends acceptance before I could break out of the top 40 mold and go my own way into my own damn music (where I fukkin Belonged!).

Early years: 1960s
While he was still a pupil at the Great Barr School,^[5] Winwood was a part of the Birmingham rhythm and blues scene, playing the Hammond B-3 organ and guitar, backing blues singers such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker, Howlin' Wolf, B. B. King, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Eddie Boyd, Otis Spann, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley on their United Kingdom tours, the custom at that time being for US singers to travel solo and be backed by pickup bands. At this time, Winwood was living on Atlantic Road in Great Barr, close to the Birmingham music halls where he played. Winwood had modelled himself on Ray Charles.^[4]
At the age of 14 Winwood joined the Spencer Davis Group,^[6] along with his older brother Muff, who later had success as a record producer. Steve's distinctive high tenor singing voice and vocal style drew comparisons to Ray Charles.^[7] At the end of 1965 the group had their first number one single with "Keep On Running"^[8] and the money from this success allowed Winwood to buy his own Hammond B-3 organ.^[4]
During this time Winwood joined forces with guitarist Eric Clapton as part of the one-off group Eric Clapton's Powerhouse. Songs were recorded for the Elektra label, but only three tracks were released on the compilation album, What's Shakin'.
Winwood co-wrote and recorded the hits "Gimme Some Loving" and "I'm a Man" before leaving the Spencer Davis Group. Winwood met drummer Jim Capaldi, guitarist Dave Mason, and multi-instrumentalist Chris Wood, when they jammed together at The Elbow Room, a club in Aston, Birmingham.^[9] After Winwood left the Spencer Davis Group in April 1967, the quartet formed Traffic.^[10] Soon thereafter, they rented a cottage near the rural village of Aston Tirrold, Berkshire to write and rehearse new music.^[9] The period at the cottage would prove important in the development of the band.^[11]
In 1968 Winwood played the organ on the song "Voodoo Chile" on the Jimi Hendrix album Electric Ladyland. The following year he played keyboards on albums as diverse as Toots & the Maytals' Reggae Got Soul and Howlin' Wolf's The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions.

John Lennon has always fascinated me. He's shared himself in many ways and has quite a story that motivated him, but I'm not going to tell it.

I always get pissed (as I mentioned before), when I hear disk jocks tell stories. Most of them are lies,,;"Listen to a liar and repeat from him and you risk becoming a liar yourself".

Back in 1977 I was turned onto a bootleg recording of John Lennon that contained the songs "Working Class Hero" & "Mother". The rumor was that he only played the song Mother once live and after doing that he broke down in tears over it's emotional content.

People talk, Idiots talk more, after that I heard a lot more from a lot more Idiots.

Now I realize that the truth in the matter is that the D.J.'s were only doing their jobs, hyping up the contraversy to push the sales of even (fake) bootleg albums.

I still, after that quit listening to the whores that sell bullshit as whatever...

Here is the first I've seen or heard that I think I can trust in for even coming close to the story behind that powerful song. First I post "Mother", you should hear it first. Yea or nay, the film on John Lennon's early life follows after.

Vote NO on H.R.2164!

I am not sure when the last time was that an email pissed me off so much.
It also asked that I ask my friends to support it... "pfft"

I urge you to oppose H.R.2164, the so-called "Legal Workforce Act."

Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down a victory for states, allowing them to require employers to use E-Verify or lose their business licenses.

Congress had years to make the E-Verify program mandatory to stop companies from intentionally hiring illegal aliens, but they refused to act, causing honest employers to suffer and criminal businesses to thrive.

Suddenly, after the Supreme Court has ruled, Congress wants to get into the game -- and for no good purpose. A vote for H.R.2164 will earn you the enmity of both liberals and conservatives.

Do the right thing. Vote NO on H.R.2164!

Those above are not my reasons, mine are mentioned below.

"I oppose any form of electronic eligibility verification for employment requirement. I also oppose the laws that would restrict any persons ability to earn what he or she needs to survive. Laws like this are meant to cause only harm and even though they sprinkle up the bill with a few sweet ideas and offer up a few pluses. When it's passed it becomes as abused as all of the others have been.I can see this law being used to restrict the type of employment opportunities for even natural citizens and being used to filter out the classes and further define the limits of advancement for all. H.R. 2164 is not a law intended to protect. It is only a law of governing and we have too many of those types of laws already in place , being abused right now!"

The very first time I really heard her was when walkig down Division St in North Attleboro, Mass. I'm not sure on the age, but it was about 10.

I was stunned by the beauty.

I listened to her from here to there, but life was changing for me.

Later when I was about 18 years old out in California doing the streets scene I met a woman with the Candles in the rain album. No relationship or anything, but she gave it to me after seeing how much it lifted me. For the next couple of years I carried it in my back-pack around the US and after that in my truck (mixed in my collection) when I moved from home to home.

I dn't think the feelings can ever go away when I hear her, because the memories still remail. I remember the saddest days and putting it on and the feelings changing to peace. I remember the sunlight that seemed to be there even at night when I listened.

As far as knowing all about her. I don't. I never had any money back then to invest into the culture. Wikipedia has more info on her than I ever did and I'm posting some of it from their page [here] below.

Melanie grew up in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, New York City, New York.^[4] She made her first public appearance at age four on the radio show Live Like A Millionaire, performing the song "Gimme a Little Kiss". She attended Red Bank High School in Red Bank, New Jersey, graduating in 1966. Melanie was a student at New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts when she began singing in the folk clubs of Greenwich Village and signed her first recording contract.
Initially signed to Columbia Records in the United States, Melanie released two singles on the label. Subsequently she signed with Buddah Records and first found chart success in Europe when her 1969 song, "Bobo's Party", reached Number 1 in France. Her debut album received rave reviews from Billboard which heralded her voice as "... wise beyond her years. Her non-conformist approach to the selections on this LP make her a new talent to be reckoned with."
Later in 1969, Melanie had a hit in the Netherlands with "Beautiful People", before performing at the Woodstock Festival. The inspiration for her signature song, "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)", apparently arose from the Woodstock audience lighting candles during her set. The recording became a hit in Europe, Australia, Canada, and the United States in the spring and summer of 1970. The B-side of the single featured Melanie's spoken-word track "Candles in the Rain". "Lay Down" became Melanie's first Top Ten hit in America, peaking at #6 on the Billboard singles chart, and achieving worldwide success. Later hits included "Peace Will Come (According To Plan)" and a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Ruby Tuesday".

In 1970, Melanie was the only artist to brave the court injunction banning the Powder Ridge Rock Festival, playing for the crowd on a homemade stage powered by Mister Softee trucks. Shortly following this performance, Melanie played at the Strawberry Fields Festival, held on August 7–9, 1970 at Mosport Park, Ontario. She also performed at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 where she was introduced by Keith Moon and received four standing ovations (she also appeared 40 years later at the 2010 Isle of Wight festival). Melanie was also the artist who sang to herald in the summer solstice at Glastonbury Fayre (later the Glastonbury Festival) in England in June 1971. She is due to perform again at Glastonbury in 2011 which is the fortieth anniversary of the original festival.^[5]
Melanie left Buddah Records when they insisted that she produce albums on demand. In 1971 she formed her own label, Neighborhood Records, with Peter Schekeryk, who was both her producer and husband.
Melanie had her biggest American hit on the Neighborhood label: the novelty-sounding 1972 number one "Brand New Key" (often referred to as "The Roller Skate Song"). "Brand New Key" sold over three million copies worldwide^{[citation needed]} and was featured in the 1997 movie Boogie Nights.
When first released, "Brand New Key" was banned by some radio stations because some saw sexual innuendo in the lyrics:

The follow-up single to "Brand New Key" was "Ring the Living Bell". To compete with this release, Melanie's former record company released "The Nickel Song", which she had recorded while still signed to Buddah Records. Both songs were simultaneous Top 40 hits while "Brand New Key" was still on the charts — setting a record for the first female performer to have three Top 40 hits concurrently.^{[citation needed]} Melanie was awarded Billboard's #1 Top Female Vocalist for 1972.
She had another Top 40 hit single in 1973 with "Bitter Bad", a song that marked a slight departure from the hippie sentiments of earlier hits (with lyrics such as "If you do me wrong I'll put your first and last name in my rock n' roll song"). Other chart hits during this period were the self-penned "Together Alone" and a cover of "Will You Love Me Tomorrow".
Melanie has been awarded two gold albums (and a gold single for "Brand New Key") and three of her compositions were hits for The New Seekers. She is also well-known for her musical adaptations of children's songs, including "Alexander Beetle" and "Christopher Robin".
In 1973, Melanie started to retreat from the spotlight to begin a family. Her daughter Leilah was born that same year. When she became an official UNICEF ambassador in 1972, she agreed to forgo a world tour in favour of raising money for the organization."

Sadie does not give attention to Ethan, but when she sees on the front page of the news that Tricia has been found dead in a dumpster in Koreatown, she decides to visit the address. She finds an abandoned house with a gruesome basement full of blood and she immediately drives to Ethan's apartment. She finds the place in a complete mess and is abducted by a stranger and taken to Bishop, who wants to know what Tricia has told her. Then, Bishop and his mate Eve kill Sadie and they have a necrophilic threesome with her body. Later, Sadie awakes in the freezer of the morgue and sooner she realizes that she is a vampire and promises revenge to her sire.

South Station, Boston

South Station is only 9 years old in this photo. All 28 tracks are in use, and at this time it is the busiest passenger terminal in the world. It was capable of handling 8 simultaneous train movements through the yard throat.

This picture most likely was taken from the drawbridge control cabin over the Fort Point Channel. This 3-bridge, 6-track structure was only torn down in the past 10 years or so for the Big Dig.

The large train shed was torn down in the 1930's due to the expense of maintaining it and the corrosive effects of the coal smoke on the steel and concrete structure. Not to mention keeping the glass clean.

The building on the left is the outbound express building, which was originally used by a predecessor of the Railway Express Agency. Most if not all the cars in the photo are wood framed cars. The 3 cars behind the leg of the tower are especially ancient with their flat arched roofs.

The building on the far right is the power plant and gas plant for power and lighting of the station (replaced by the South Postal Annex in the 1940's). The coal carrying cars are of the drop bottom gondola type, rather than a true hopper car. The reporting marks on that old tank car is "W.O.W.", and I have no idea what railroad or shipper that is.

The two ramps on the right lead to the abandoned underground commuter loop. This was to be used with electric commuter cars like the ones used on the Nantasket Beach Branch of the New Haven Railroad. This was center 3rd rail, like Lionel toy trains. Safety complaints and projected expense kept the New Haven from electrifying all Boston commuter traffic like it wanted to. South Station was the 1st terminal in the world to be designed for electric trains, and yet it didn't happen until the 1990's for Amtrak on the upper level. The reason for two ramps is that the one on the right was to be used for all Old Colony RR lines to the South and East, while the ramp to the left was to be used for all Providence, Franklin, Needham, Dedham, and Stoughton lines. From what I read, they tried to use the loop once with a steam engine test train, but almost killed everyone on board due to the total lack of ventilation.

The loop station was used at various times as a parking garage and a bowling alley. It was not fully removed until South Station's reconstruction in the mid-1980's.

The Atlantic Street wing of the station (visible at left) was torn down before preservation efforts started. It was rebuilt much wider in the 1980's for a food court. They reopened the same quarries used in the 1890's to get the same color granite. The Summer St. wing was shortened by half for the Stone & Webster tower.

All of South Station was owned by the Boston Terminal Co., which was jointly owned by the railroads that had their own stations replaced by South Station: Old Colony RR, Boston & Providence RR, Boston & Albany RR, and the New York & New England RR. Each RR owned 20% of the BTCo., plus the New Haven RR which owned the OCRR, NY&NE, and B&P (giving the NHRR 80 percent control).

Today, South Station is at 13 tracks, yet it has more scheduled trains than in 1940. There is serious talk of moving the Post Office out, and expanding the track diagram to 20 tracks.

Below is a picture of the lower level track system.

I was talking with a friend of mine yesterday and mentioned them, but he didn't believe it. I replied that I myself didn't either until I saw them myself.

About 19 years ago I had gone into Boston at the beginning of the re-construction project, they had two full blocks of double high scaffolding blocking off the front and East sides of South Station. Along the inner sides of the scaffolding was a plywood barrier wall to protect pedestrians from falling debris and on that temporary barrier they had posters and historical referances to South Station posted along the path.

It was very interesting, I think I spent a couple hours looking over all of the material. One particular point of interest was the underground tracks system. Several photos had pictures of trains parked underground on a series of tracks layed out in about a 2 mile radius right under the outer edges of the station and under the surrounding streets.

The note however with this picture of part of them says that they were never even put to use.

Happy birthday Kim, here are some interesting facts about today and others who share it with you as a birthday.

After reading some of the names I found Charles the Bald, (Holy Roman Emperor and King of the West Franks), Miyamoto Musashi, (Legendary Samurai warrior, artist, and author of The Book of Five Rings), and Anna Maria Franziska of Saxe-Lauenburg, (Grand Duchess of Tuscany). I noticed that the traits of those born on this day to be determaned, successful and leadership and as you will see next, talented, bold and attractive.
Also born on this day are Actress Ashley Olsen (not my favorite, still remarkable though), Mary-Kate too (cause they are twins I guess), Kasia Kowalska, Polish pop rock singer, Hannah Storm, Malcolm McDowell, Leeann Tweeden, and Kat Dennings.

June 13th is also noted to as The Day of Feasts by some and mentioned in The Calender of Saints.

I have heard birthdays called anniversaries and on some note I guess they are, but that's not how I see them. I see them as being a point of acheivement, like a goal post.
When someone says "Look at Timmy, he's getting so big. He just turned ten today", I wanna throw my piece of cake and party hat at em and yell out "No he didn't ya' dummy. He just finished bein ten ya bugger. That year's all done now an Tim, not Timmy is in his 11th year now".

I look at the birthday as the celebration of a year completed, a year of being blessed with that person being accomplished and the beginning a new one.

Repel or kill insects, many other uses for vodka, theirs and mine

Vodka has been enjoyed since at least the early Middle Ages, and is well known as one of the world's most popular spirits. Its versatility in mixing and high alcohol content have made it extremely popular in cocktails, and it is still widely enjoyed 'neat' (straight up) in much of Eastern and Northern Europe.
Vodka also has a long history of use as medicine, having been sold by druggists to cure everything from infertility to colic and the plague. While some of those historic promoters were half-cocked, it's true that vodka has a wide range of potential uses beyond serving as a relaxer and social lubricant.
Why would you want to do anything else with vodka but drink it? It is widely available, effective and less toxic than many of the chemical alternatives you might use for these tasks.

MY NOTES:
I have tried the vodka/water solution as a glass cleaner and it works as well as Denatured Alcohol at about 1/5th the price and with less offensive fumes. I have also tried the shampoo mixture and it works excellent.

On the field or out on the job I have used it for many things, such as cleaning up metal after handling it during phases of construction, great on countertops for making them look as new as possi\ble, removes paint splatters and bad cut edges. removes glue from seams when gluing formica and it picks up dust better than anything I know, just dampen a rag with the mixture you used to wash windows and go over the surface areas with it quickly.

This could go on forever... Wainscoting.. to clean it and remove small scratches or dull spots on the surface. take a rag and wipe it very quickly with the grain of the wood just once per section. Do not use circular motion and do not hit a spot twice unless it is thoroughly dry. When you do this you will be softening the existing finish and laying it back in again. The results are very close to a fresh new coat of finish, but you must not play with it. Allow any area that you've touched about 15 minutes to harden again before going over it again to prevent blotching (this also works well with older panel doors, trim-work and stairway banisters. I never tried it on furniture and never would, not with the cheap finishes they use in assembly).

THEIR NOTES:

1. To remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka. The solvent dissolves the adhesive.
2. To clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set five minutes and wash clean. The alcohol in the vodka kills mold and mildew.
3. To clean your eyeglasses, simply wipe the lenses with a soft, clean cloth dampened with vodka. The alcohol in the vodka cleans the glass and kills germs.
4. Prolong the life of razors by filling a cup with vodka and letting your safety razor blade soak in the alcohol after shaving. The vodka disinfects the blade and prevents rusting.
5. Spray vodka on vomit stains, scrub with a brush, then blot dry.
6. Using a cotton ball, apply vodka to your face as an astringent to cleanse the skin and tighten pores.
7. Add a jigger of vodka to a 12-ounce bottle of shampoo. The alcohol cleanses the scalp, removes toxins from hair, and stimulates the growth of healthy hair.
8. Fill a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle and spray bees or wasps to kill them.
9. Pour one-half cup vodka and one-half cup water in a Ziplock freezer bag, and freeze for a slushy, refreshable ice pack for aches, pain, or black eyes.
10. Fill a clean, used mayonnaise jar with freshly packed lavender flowers, fill the jar with vodka, seal the lid tightly and set in the sun for three days. Strain liquid through a coffee filter then apply the tincture to aches and pains.
11. Make your own mouthwash by mixing nine tablespoons powered cinnamon with one cup vodka. Seal in an airtight container for two weeks. Strain through a coffee filter then mix with warm water and rinse your mouth. Don’t swallow.
12. Using a q-tip, apply vodka to a cold sore to help it dry out.
13. If a blister opens, pour vodka over the raw skin as a local anesthetic that also disinfects the exposed dermis.
14. To treat dandruff, mix one cup vodka with two teaspoons crushed rosemary, let sit for two days, strain through a coffee filter and massage into your scalp and let dry.
15. To treat an earache put a few drops of vodka in your ear. Let set for a few minutes. Then drain. The vodka will kill the bacteria that are causing pain in your ear.

18. Vodka will disinfect and alleviate a jellyfish sting.
19. Pour vodka over an area affected with poison ivy to remove the poison oil from your skin.
20. Swish a shot of vodka over an aching tooth. Allow your gums to absorb some of the alcohol to numb the pain.

It's been a wet, hot Summer over much of the world, which means the mosquitoes are going to be plentiful, hungry, and ticked off. (Little known fact: all mosquitoes are angry. Always.) So what can we do to protect ourselves from being attacked by swarms of bitter bugs? The easiest thing to do, of course, is stay inside; well-sealed windows and doors do a terrific job keeping out unwanted, blood-sucking guests. However, if you absolutely MUST go outside, you'll need to be prepared with some sort of bug repellent.

When faced with the proposition of being blitzed by a battalion of biting bugs, most people make a beeline to their local store to pick up some OFF Spray, or similar DEET-laden repellent. Store-bought bug sprays are fine, but some people have serious skin reactions to DEET, which if sprayed directly onto plastic can cause it to bubble and warp. Would you want to put that on your skin? If you're like me, and you enjoy rolling your own bug-off juice, here's an effective recipe that I find keeps the mosquitoes away just as well as the name brand stuff.

Materials:

1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup witch hazel (or cheap vodka)
5 drops of citronella or eucalyptus essential oil

Tools:

Spray bottle
Funnel

Time:

A few minutes

Steps:

Ok, this is pretty tough, so make sure you follow along closely. I don't want you getting confused.

Using the funnel, pour all the liquid ingredients into the spray bottle.
Shake the bottle to mix the liquids.

Tada! You're now holding a bottle of effective, organic bug repellent. You can also spray your DIY repellent around areas that you'd rather not have bugs, such as the picnic table or your dog's head. Unlike the store-bought sprays, this stuff isn't water-proof (or sweat-proof, for that matter), so you'll need to reapply as necessary. Unfortunately, it won't keep ticks at bay, so you might have to use the DEET version if you're going to be traipsing into the deep woods. However, if you're just looking for a little extra protection during your next barbecue, this might be right up your alley.

This film was made using input from all the band members. What results is a film that shows the real Jim Morrison and the other band members.

What surprised me the most was the way that they all obviously worked together to make the music what it was, rather than the media's bullshit story about it just being an accident that they all "just happened tyo meet" and Jim Just happened to get lucky and things "just happened" that resulted in bringing us the music of The Doors.

BULLSHIT! and I've always known it to be bullshit.

First of all, that loud mouthed and opinionated radio disk jockey is the first Media Whore. Most often it is through that little self loving, yet useless wannabe that we first hear of a band , and they do it at a high cost. They lie, exaggerate, over emphasize, slander and those sluts make a damn good living doing it. Which by the way is their version of "doin it" is expressing opinions on things and people they basically know nothing about.

Do I sound pissed? Damn right I am. I turned my American Radio off almost 20 years ago just to keep myself from killin some of the punks.

Anyway, with that off my chest I hope you watched the film and in doing so I hope you noticed that they worked hard to make that music and deserve full credit for every bit of effort in doing so.

Strange Stuff, Water's unique properties:

The solid form floats on the liquid form. This property also explains why water pipes will burst when they freeze - something opposite of nearly every other simple substance. Mercury thermometers, for instance, do not explode when the temperature drops below the freezing point of mercury.
The temperatures at which water boils and freezes are both higher than other molecules of similar size.
Water has a large heat capacity; it can take in a lot of heat without its temperature increasing very much. This makes it an especially good coolant for a car radiator, and it's the main reason temperatures are moderate for coastal communities - as the ocean is slow to cool down or warm up.
The high surface tension of water - its tendency to fight being pulled apart - explains why it forms droplets and why it climbs up the sides of a straw. It may also play a part in how the water strider walks on water.

The solid form of water -- ice -- floats instead of sinking, as with most substances. Water stores heat very well. And its high surface tension shows how its molecules hate coming apart. Understanding the peculiarities of water requires detailed study of its molecular interactions. "We think we understand everything there is about a single water molecule," Saykally said. "What we don't understand so well is how they interact with each other."
A single molecule of water looks like a letter V, with one oxygen atom at the bottom point and two hydrogen atoms at the top. These atoms share some of their negatively charged electrons, forming a strong connection called a covalent bond.
The oxygen atom grabs more of the shared electrons, which makes it slightly negative, leaving the hydrogen ends slightly positive. This small shift in charge is what attracts water molecules to each other.
Saykally describes each water molecule as having hands and feet. The hands are the positively charged hydrogen atoms, while the feet dangle off the negative side of the oxygen.
"Hands can't grab hands and feet can't grab feet," Saykally said, but hands can latch onto feet, in what is called a hydrogen bond.
Hydrogen bonds are 10 times weaker than covalent bonds, but they are the key to water's mysteries.

WATER would seem to be relatively easy for scientists to understand. It is the only natural substance on Earth that is found as a gas, liquid, and solid. It covers 70 percent of Earth’s surface, makes up 60 percent of the human body, and constitutes 90 percent of a person’s blood.
However, the water molecule is far from simple. Given its low molecular weight, water at ambient conditions should be a gas instead of a liquid. Its boiling point is nearly 200°C higher than expected compared with similar-size molecules. And, unlike most substances, when ice melts, the water molecules pack more closely together than they do when frozen, which is why ice cubes float. In addition to its familiar liquid phase, water has at least 3 other liquidlike phases and up to 14 solid phases.
Water’s unusual properties have unexpected effects on the thermodynamic behavior of its phases. For example, temperature and pressure affect the molecules differently when water approaches its boiling point than when it is close to freezing. Heating already hot water increases its isothermal compressibility and heat capacity and reduces its density, but heating cold water has the opposite effect. Also, applying pressure reduces the mobility of the molecules in hot water but increases their mobility in cold water. Ice melts when slight pressure is applied, but under high pressure, liquid freezes.
Understanding water is important to a range of research areas from geosciences to biological systems to astrophysics. But explaining the anomalous properties of this mysterious molecule has challenged both theorists and experimentalists. Scientists began to simulate liquid water almost 40 years ago. Yet, they continue to pursue more accurate models so they can better analyze this surprisingly complex molecule.
The revolution in supercomputing has been a boon to such research. To simulate even a few hundred atoms requires supercomputing capabilities, such as those available with Livermore’s unclassified supercomputer, Thunder. Funded by the Laboratory’s Multiprogrammatic and Institutional Computing Initiative, Thunder can process 23 trillion operations per second. In June 2005, it ranked seventh on the Top500 List, the leading industry authority for high-performance computing.
By designing algorithms to exploit Thunder’s capabilities, a team of Livermore researchers, led by chemist Christopher Mundy, has made important contributions to the study of water and its properties. With funding from the Laboratory Directed Research and Development Program, Mundy’s team examined the behavior of water at the molecular level under changing conditions. The team’s models reproduced the bulk properties of liquid water. With this improved capability, researchers can better understand the many phases of water and predict the behavior of more complex molecular fluids.

This film starts out with aspects on parenting and hemp seed oil as a nutritional supplement for babies??

Did I just say "babies"? I think I did because they did..

The topic moves quickly into common health issues involving coeliac disease, other food tolerance issues and nutrients like magnesium, calcium, potassium and high in fiber.

Later the speaker offers some of the ways in which hemp has been proven to heal, cure and releave the symptoms of many illnesses or conditions.

When I say "releave" please don't assume that this is about making feel better of comforting the person by masking the symptoms. In the case of physical illnesses they are talking full remedy and cure. The comfort offered by lessening the amount of discomfort I believe they are talking about mental illnesses.

I can't go into every detail of it because next to the speaker I know nothing.

This is a well done presentation, very in depth statements of the facts. There's no emotional tagging done and I usually prefer just the facts anyway (seduction belongs in the bedroom).

If you are interested in the data available related to hemp as a beneficial option that we should be allowed to use this is a good place to start!

That's Not in my American History Book - Thomas Ayres (Review)

This is a little sample of what's contained inside this book. I chose this section because it was the first I read when glancing through the book and I figured that it was as good as any to share.

First though, a little on the Author. The first part is a quote from the back cover:

"Thomas Ayres, a veteran investigative reporter and award-winning columnist has written for The Dallas Times' quarterly publication Columbiad, and many other publications. He lives in Jonesboro, Lousiana"

My opinion of him is that he's a very witty and talented writer. This book is well worth the purchasing price and it is one of the few books that I would replace if ever lost or damaged just to have a copy laying around to share some good readin with friends as they stop by.

    Politics and political mudslinging have been around almost from the day prehistoric man dis covered mud. However, over the past two centuries American politicians have managed to refine the art-sometimes elevating it to creative heights, but more often dragging it to bottomless lows.

   In the creative category, one of the strangest campaigns ever waged was the one by George Smathers against Claude Pepper for the U.S. Senate in Florida in 1950. In his campaign speeches, Smathers began referring to Pepper as "a known extrovert." He spat out the words with such disdain, many in his audiences assumed the worst of Pepper. While Pepper was trying to figure out how to respond, Smathers revealed that his opponent's sister was "a thespian." He then accused Pepper's brother of being "a practicing homo sapiens." He charged that while attending college, Pepper "matriculated on campus," and that he "engaged in celibacy" before he was married.

   Smathers won the election.

If that was the high point of political creativity, the low had to take place in Louisiana in 1932, when Earl Long called a political enemy "A big-bellied, lily-livered liar and the crookedest man who ever lived." The reference was to his brother, Huey Long. On another occasion, Earl became so enraged at his brother he called him a son of a bitch before fully analyzing the implication.

   A favorite Earl Long tactic was to follow an opponent around and inspire impromptu debate by heckling from the audience. Not only did it save money, it allowed Earl to control the agenda for discussion. However, on one occasion the practice backfired. Huey, then seeking election as a U.S. senator, was telling a large crowd what he had done for the people of Louisiana when Earl's shrill 'Dice came from the crowd.

   "I know one person you ain't done nothin' for-your brother!"

Rick Simpson says that contained in the resin of the hemp plant's buds in a natural cure for many different ailments. One is cancer.

I am not saying I believe he's right about everything, nobody ever is anyway, but I am saying he appears to believe he is and that itself is a form of good medicine.

There are other aspects of the controversy that support much of what he's saying. Uncommon but honest logic even further supports it.

The other day a friend quoted a phrase from the Bible. I'm not sure which one exactly and I don't even care. This is not for argument anyway, so it needs no support from me. This verse though I remember as not being the instruction or paraphrase from one of the authors of the Bible, but instead it was a quote of the words spoken by God himself. it was 'And God said, See, I have given you every plant producing seed, on the face of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit producing seed: they will be for your food:'.

Pick that apart and argue the word "food" all you want to, but do not forget the meaning of the earlier portion of the phrase "I have given". The term "I" represents authority over "have" is past tense, this confirms the action already taken, "given" is the action.

Just those three words were enough to prove ownership of every seed bearing plant or fruit to every man. No man or agency or agent of any government has the authority to take from any man what was given to him by God, the God who governs all and above all!

No, that was not preaching. You sing out your poem pledging allegiance to The United States of America would be preaching...

Preach: To urge acceptance or abandonment of an idea or course or action "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God"

That is to preach acceptance to a nation under God!

My topic was the law that this nation swears it lives by, nothing more than that (The fact that I Love God has no bearing in this issue, God is above this issue completely.)

I had to shut the Zone down.

I guess I shoulda talked more about it first, but I made three phone calls, sent three messages VIA the internet, got nothing. Later though in a reply to a message that went something like this...

"Look Bro, I don't know what's going on. I tried calling three times and sent three messages and still nothing" I got the reply "Ha-haa, I'll call you in a few..."

I didn't know a few minutes from a few days, or a few weeks from a few months or a few years, but I waited ten days from the calender page and got nothing. After that though, through mix-n-match on other ongoing dialog between myself and other people he did petition me on several occasions for me to contact him, with the lame excuse that he had lost my number.

I replied with the search results for "David+Rice+Farnam+Nebraska+Phone+Number" and that link provided him with my name, phone number and all the information he requested as the first result on the pagge,. along with the other 24 results below it. He didn't want to use it. Instead he asked me again...

I'm thinkin to myself "For Real?"

So I finally replied "Call you in a few Bro..."

The Alan Parsons Project - I Robot

The Alan Parsons Project was a British progressive rock band, active between 1975 and 1990, consisting of Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons surrounded by a varying number of session musicians.
Behind the revolving lineup and the regular sidemen, the true core of the Project was the duo of Parsons and Woolfson. Woolfson was a lawyer by profession, but also a composer and pianist. Parsons was a successful producer and accomplished engineer. Almost all songs on the band's albums are credited to "Woolfson/Parsons".

They and it seems everyone lists the Album I Robot as being released in 1977. I know damn well that my copy was from mid summer 1975.

I had been hit by a car in the last week of April of that year hitchhiking down in Florida and it crushed my leg, leaving me in a full cast, also leaving me trapped and forced to go home.

That was an awesome year for me, but sometimes it was frustrating and overwhelming. I heard this album and at first thought "Well this has gotta suck!", but as I listened more to it I began to relate with the breakdown, losing my thread, no-one understands the words that I say and then the best part.. "I don't care what you do, I wouldn't want to be like you". Now this album had become an icon for me. It was my own freakin revolution and I loved it and I still didn't want to talk to you...

I honestly feel that this album is timeless. It will always have a message for those trapped in frustration along down the road and that it belongs up there on the top shelf along with all the other greatest works in the art archives labeled "Finest Music"

I usually post these little players with the settings of 325 X 20 pixels, because it just looks cleaner that way to me, the 20 pixels is roughly the space required to show only the top edging border and the lower tool bar section. In between though there is the area I almost never show and in that field there is a visualization that's actually pretty good. It goes with the music and it's got a few transitions, but mostly it's similar to Andy O'Meara's early version of G-Force, [download the newest trial version here] Anyway, I sized these 325 X 325 to allow for the effects.

The roots of Them, the band that first broke Morrison on the international scene, came in April 1964 when Morrison responded to an advert for musicians to play at a new R&B club at the Maritime Hotel – an old dance hall frequented by sailors.The new R&B club needed a band for its opening night; however, Morrison had left the Golden Eagles (the group with which he had been performing at the time), so he created a new band out of The Gamblers, an East Belfast group formed by Ronnie Millings, Billy Harrison, and Alan Henderson in 1962. Eric Wrixon, still a schoolboy, was the piano player and keyboardist. Morrison played saxophone and harmonica and shared vocals with Billy Harrison. They followed Eric Wrixon's suggestion for a new name, and The Gamblers morphed into Them, their name taken from the Fifties horror movie Them!.

The band's strong R&B performances at the Maritime attracted attention. Them performed without a routine and Morrison ad libbed, creating his songs live as he performed. While the band did covers, they also played some of Morrison's early songs, such as "Could You Would You", which he had written in Camden Town while touring with The Manhattan Showband. The debut of Morrison's "Gloria" took place on stage here. Sometimes, depending on his mood, the song could last up to twenty minutes. Morrison has stated that "Them lived and died on the stage at the Maritime Hotel," believing that the band did not manage to capture the spontaneity and energy of their live performances on their records. The statement also reflected the instability of the Them lineup, with numerous members passing through the ranks after the definitive Maritime period. Morrison and Henderson would remain the only constants, and a highly unsuccessful version of Them even soldiered on after Morrison's departure.

Dick Rowe of Decca Records became aware of the band's performances, and signed Them to a standard two-year contract. In that period, they released two albums and ten singles, with two more singles released after Morrison departed the band. They had three chart hits, "Baby, Please Don't Go" (1964), "Here Comes the Night" (1965), and "Mystic Eyes" (1965), though it was the b-side of "Baby, Please Don't Go", the garage band classic, "Gloria", that went on to become a rock standard covered by Patti Smith, The Doors, Shadows of Knight, Jimi Hendrix and others.

Building on the success of their singles in the United States, and riding on the back of the British Invasion, Them undertook a two month tour of America in May and June 1966 that included a residency from 30 May to 18 June at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles. The Doors were the supporting act on the last week,and Morrison's influence on The Doors singer, Jim Morrison, was noted by John Densmore in his book Riders On The Storm. Brian Hinton relates how "Jim Morrison learned quickly from his near namesake's stagecraft, his apparent recklessness, his air of subdued menace, the way he would improvise poetry to a rock beat, even his habit of crouching down by the bass drum during instrumental breaks." On the final night, the two Morrisons and the two bands jammed together on "Gloria".

Toward the end of the tour the band members became involved in a dispute with their manager, Decca Records' Phil Solomon, over the revenues paid to the band; that, coupled with the expiry of their work visas, meant the band returned from America dejected. After two more concerts in Ireland, Them split up. Morrison concentrated on writing some of the songs that would appear on Astral Weeks, while the remnants of the band reformed in 1967 and relocated in America.

I had just watched Collapse on Netflix and was amazed at the amount of information contained in it. Michael C. Puppert is a very intelligent and straight forward speaking with an almost flawless ability to share information in a way that's easy to understand and follow, without overloading it with all the hyped up drama that so many others resort to to mask over the holes and blanks and still keep your attention focused on them.

I can't keep talking on and on about the subject because the film covers it all anyway. I will though tell you that I ran a Google Video Search on the film after watching it because I wanted an offline copy for my collection. from there I found it hosted on Disclose.TV on this page, then from there I copied the embed codes for the following two parts. After snagging them I went further and searched for more information on Michael C. Ruppert and found his site called "Collapse Network - A Voice For The Future".

Former HHS worker blows whistle on HHS tactics

NORTH PLATTE - Tawnie Stewart was a caseworker for the state Child Protective Service but left the organization when, she claims, she was told to lie in court about one of her cases.

"That's when I quit," said Stewart, a caseworker for Health and Human Services from 1996-97. "I didn't like anything about it. I was supposed to be working for these mothers to help them get their children back, but I was being told to work against them. I worked with a case plan supervisor who wasn't familiar with cases, but would tell me what to put in it. But the last straw was when I was told I would have to lie on the stand."

Now Stewart is working with a mother who is locked in a battle with the Nebraska Health and Human Service Department to get her children back.

May Lynn Branson, a mother of two children ages 8 and 9, is locked in a dispute to determine if a foster mother in Broken Bow should get guardianship of Branson's children - a decision that could determine if Branson is allowed to see her children in the future.

Branson is supposed to have nightly telephone calls to her children, but phone records indicate the calls are completed only about six times per month. Branson said she is told by the foster mother that she has cell phone issues in her area, yet a check with the phone company indicates full coverage where the foster mom lives. The cell phone company states that no such issues should exist.

When the calls do go through, the foster mother listens on speakerphone. In one recorded conversation, Branson is heard to ask, "You have me on speakerphone again?" at which time the foster mother's voice rings out, "If you don't like, we can cut you off."

Child Protective Services came into Branson's life after a bruise was spotted on one of the children's legs at school. Investigators showed up at her doorstep and Branson, who has a mental disability, agreed to cooperate with requests to temporarily hand over her children.

Stewart said this is a standard practice.

"That's where they get you," said Stewart. "That's their tactics. They are told to tell parents like May Lynn that if they cooperate, things will go better, if not they will file criminal charges. Most people would be afraid at that point and the voluntary cooperation sounds easier, but in fact, it's better if you force them to pursue criminal actions. That way, they at least have to prove what they are saying. Otherwise, they can do what they want."

Workers trained to pressure parents, says whistleblower

Stewart said as part of her initial training, she was told, "Parents don't know their rights and you should take advantage of that by walking all over them," she said.

The Telegraph contacted the Health and Human Services Communications and Legislative Services Director Kathie Osterman for a response to Branson's case. Osterman was provided with these same details and after saying HHS would respond to what they could, did not meet a one-week deadline to provide a response.

Like Brandi Knutson's case (detailed in Saturday's story on the front page of the Telegraph), Branson was given a case plan to follow, but each time the goals of the case plan were met, the goals were changed, according to copies of the case plans. Branson has dealt with 10 different caseworkers over the last several months.

The children too have had a lack of stability, living with different foster families in different cities.

The final case plan written by Branson's current caseworker in December states, "Fair progress is being made to alleviate the causes of out-of-home placement."

Yet in the next paragraph, the caseworker recommends adoption.

Branson admits she needs to improve her living conditions. She said she is making progress with Stewart's help. She wants an opportunity to reunite with her daughters and fears a decision that could take them from her life until they turn 18.

Stewart has offered to become a guardian for the children and wants Branson to live with her and her husband. Branson's outcome will be determined by the court, but whether she has custody or not is the issue for Stewart, who said Branson certainly hasn't done anything to lose a relationship with her children.

"I've known these kids and May Lynn for a long time," said Stewart. "I have a relationship with all of them. She doesn't deserve to not have a relationship with her children. This has to stop. She hasn't done anything to deserve to have those ties to her children broken."

My comments:

This is not me gloating or bragging that what I have been saying to has finally come out to light. I actually would have preferred that the situation had never come to the point that the D.H.H.S. or our local government or our legal system would feel the need to deceive us or manipulate our families using our children and with slander and with lies.

I'm sure that there was no great grandfather who planed for things to come to this by starting a political policy agenda generations ago. I am saying though that it has come to this and it did start generations ago. Part of the evolution process of any society is the ability to separate from the wrongs within it, to address that that needs to be dealt with as no longer working or as has been abused to the point that it now is causing us harm. I am very sure that the core of the regulations began with noble intentions and that at the time they were a step in the right direction towards helping families find help, but then came the feeding frenzy. What was once good and designed to provide for those in actual need of was now being used by those with no need for it and those people sought ways to bring those policies further toward their desires to the point that they had begun now to use that safety net designed to help those in need instead into a trap that they now had full control of and now through their molestation of the process it has become a burden to all, including them. That is why I believe that they now feel that they must defend their tactics and usage of these policies with lies and corruption.

I am not happy over have seen any aspect of this because to me and in my head this too is a weight. I have the impulse to look away and ignore all of the traps and scandals, but I also have the God given responsibilities to educate the next generation in the best way available to me. In attempting to do so I am not allowed to simply look away, odd thing too is I am also not allowed to fight it. Any capitulation or involvement in these affairs would make me a willing partner to it in one form or another and guilt is non-proportional, there is no slightly gray area. If you have been a part of something, you yourself have chosen to become a part of a whole, in doing that you share the guilt of every other consenting partner to it. All I can do is teach from it, use the reflection of it as an example of it's function and the cause of it's outcome, with the hope that someone will be less inclined to play a future part in this kind of B.S. later on and eventually the situation will become exposed enough to the point that those who listened and learned will now have a say in a new beginning and an end to the old.

I know I was rambling, that's just me I guess.

Anyway, I have been sharing on this subject for about 6 years now in specific to The State of Nebraska, call it 32+ years if you want to include other related area's like The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I began my challenges with the birth of my son David King Rice around and about the year 1979 in a court battle seeking only visitation privileges with him, but through the lies and manipulations of the legal system and Department of Welfare System in Massachusetts I had to learn how to fight back against the Probate Court and the Social Workers and found no help in doing so. After being threatened with jail and other methods of discouragements I continued to fight to see my son and in the end I won full custody of him from both the Welfare System and his mother. The results of this were that I was the very first father to gain custody of a child out of wedlock in that state and following that court case tens of thousands of other fathers followed suit and based on my results received parental sharing rights that before my case were not even considered an option.

The reason I shared that with you is not as you would think it was intended. I also wanted to point out that during this whole process I was offered to join up with the already pending legal proceedings and work with them within that system of functioning reasonment. I opted out of that 100%, I told them that I would have no part in their priorly influenced actions, that this was my action to and not my reaction to anything they had already initiated. Still they offered and asked and pleaded, even to the point that they offered me a winning side of their situation. I laughed and told them to keep their stuff, because they owned it. After saying that I proved it too and that is how I think things need to be done. Meeting anything half way is also accepting half of the responsibilities for the situation. Accept None, unless you want to yourself become one within it.

The following is some of the art work that I've been doing lately and posted on FaceBook. Following will be my explanation as to why.

Above are some of the variations featuring both the puppet and goddess named (I suppose) MeMe. I'm actually not so sure of her name but the terms "Me, Me, Me..." and "Oh Me-me, pick Me. Me..." are used so commonly in everything out here, that I do think they have already gone so far past the point of expression that they are now more similar to phrases of worship.

MeMe is in there for that reason, next is the puppet and the depth. I tried to create the illusion of layers and depth and that's where the puppet relates. he looks forward (in his own eyes) towards MeMe, but actually, she's in the depths herself.

The several variations are because I still couldn't get this to bring out my expressed desires for it. I wanted everything to go deep into darkness, but I'm not that good yet. I might try it with oil if I can ever scrounge up the money for a new set.

The other picture is the King of Nebraska, the NebrasCow. He's the male gender form of MeMe, and he has his puppets too. The one to the left and behind him is his thoughtless, vague form of a henchman. Watching and listening, not even to what he hears but to watch the audiences reaction to what's being said. His other objective is to make sure the audience feels intimidated enough to if not agree and applaud to at least dare not to object openly on any of the matters presented.

Why would I be thinking this way?

Long story but here's part of it.

My son just won some major achievement awards and even though that should be only a time of honor and satisfaction. It wasn't taken that way by me. Other things came up in my mind, like the the pathway that he had to travel to get to this point and I am not so glad about those aspects of it.

I'll start out quick and try to remain quick about it, still some framework is needed here.

Out of respect for my son Only, no names will be used used in this,

My son was home schooled just about all of his life back in New England. As I began to get seriously ill I decided to move out here mostly because I thought they needed decent and honest schools to attend (I refused to allow them to go in New England over the racial issues, gangs and drugs). Upon entering school here he skipped either one or two grade levels, the differences between the two would be based on which two school districts you were comparing against out of four or\sixteen different combination scenarios. When he entered he had no experience in the school settings or the social aspects of it. He excelled anyway and in his first semester he began to climb very quickly up in the academics portion of his school work. In many ways he was well above those he attended classes with, if not all of them.

He worked hard and should have graduated with honors, everyone thought he had and that includes the schools own staff members, but that was stolen from him. My way of looking at it though is that Nebraska Sold Out, or a part of Nebraska was sold in that effort.

Talking with my sister the other night I mentioned that to her and we both agreed that it was more than a little cheap-assed punk for them to steal even points from a student, but when you live that way then that way is part of your living. The conversation with her on that topic ended with "Well now he did it even though they ripped him off and the funny thing is they settled too low on this one. They shoulda milked him some more because winnin a little start-up race for next to nothin is nothing like hittin the trifecta. They shoulda kept that bettin winda open for the real stuff...". Then we both agreed that they had done some good after all, they lost pride, he gained pride. They also taught him a little more about themselves and in doing so they have have shown him how good it really can feel not to be anything like them...

That can was opened up and another one. My daughter also moved out here and she was just turned seven years old. She had never in her life been out of the house much and had no experience with being ripped off, taken advantage of or socially abused either, but stupid me put her in that school we call "Society" out here.

Her first real taste of it was at church. At church they had a Soap-Box Derby race and the whole town was planning on going, so we talked her into participating. She used her big brothers car after prepping it and cleaning it up and she won. She did win but they would have no part of that. They made her race again later and she won again in the finalists round. Still she was not allowed to win against a "local", so they made her try again and she won again! Still the best they would allow her was a lie at tying at first place. Which, come to find out is actually less than not racing at all. Because as it stands now still is her participation in the (so-called) event is completed disregarded.

End of the topic is I don't care much for winning a battle with idiots or losing one. I sometimes think that those morons that go back to a battle field for any reason after the fightin is done have their own special version of a mental disorder.

I am glad my son succeeded, but I always knew he would. I'm glad he did it without them, even though they stole from him, but I wish he never had needed to be involved with them like that in the first place.

Last note, every time I look at Nebraska that depth grows deeper, the darkness surrounding it more dark and the puppets more and more like each-other...

This is an excellent band. They may or may not be new to you, but they sure as hell are to me.

The music has a late 60's surf-board era sound, but naturally the sound quality is much better, even if the only reason for that is the modern recording equipment.

It's mostly instrumental and quite fast.

I think yer gonna like it.

Last thing is they had me sold on just the name. I hate Bambi. I think they been pimpin that one out long enough and I'm glad she's finally been found met up with the molesters. Maybe now she can come to terms with reality.

Who knows, maybe next we can get the rest of the Disney Whores on track too? Scumbags!

My Notes:
This is a great set of applications/, there is only one draw-back that needs mentioning. It does come with browser extension addon's. you can deselect the activation of them during the installation process for the initial install but during actual use of the various components it may prompt you to allow them to be installed onto your browsers interface. I don't think I did anything except deny or opt-out a few times and even that has stopped popping up for me now, as it used to when closing out of a prog.
Next is that some of the configuration has not been completed yet, but it does still look promising. The DVD burning application will still only copy previously formatted content to DVD, but you still need to use other software to create the VIDEO_TS and VOB files to actually make the DVD a DVD Player Formatted disc.
The 3-D imaging still needs some work done on it and probably a few more applications still need a few wrinkles ironed out of them. Still as-is even now it's a very good program
